Elevating MV Sport with Znode Multi-Store Ecommerce


Situation

MV Sport is a family-owned and operated company that was founded in 1948. It has become the leading supplier of custom decorated apparel serving universities, college bookstores, resorts, promotional products suppliers, golf clubs, and military industries.

One of the exclusive brands of MV Sport is The Game, which offers a wide variety of design options such as embroidery for customizable headwear products.


Challenge

MV Sport – The Game’s previous ecommerce platform was unable to bring the entire portfolio of brands and websites together. The company’s legacy websites were slow and lacked contemporary functionality to serve its B2B buyers. Sites had limited automation and customer orders needed significant phone support from customer service representatives. These challenges were multiplied as MV Sport maintains a stock inventory of 10 million products, many of which may be customized, across numerous brands.

MV Sport was entering digital transformation and required a single ecommerce platform to easily manage its entire portfolio of brands. In that portfolio of brands was The Game, which required it’s own ecommerce website, additional websites included a wholesale B2B website for MV Sport blanks (customizable products that have yet to be customized), a white label store for a global activewear brand that supplies co-branded hats to teams, and a retail consumer website.

The list of features required in an ecommerce platform to manage MV Sport – The Game’s business requirements was complex. The wholesale B2B website required account based pricing displayed only upon login and a registration workflow to capture new business customers and provide accounts. Additionally requirements for the B2B website included custom shipping rules, a sales rep locator, a print catalog request form, a print catalog viewer integration and configurable product attributes.

The requirements for The Game brand included the ability to support customized products and easily manage catalogs. The ability to launch white label sites for specific sales channels to increase support and sell through products was also highly desired. Lastly MV Sport – The Game required the ecommerce platform integrate to a product customization tool.


Solution

MV Sport chose Znode as its enterprise B2B ecommerce platform and began its digital transformation by launching The Game on Znode. Znode improved The Game’s online performance with faster page load times and an improved customer experience including request for quote capabilities and an integration with Artifi Labs, Amla Commerce’s ecommerce product customization tool.

Shortly after launching The Game Headwear site, the company launched a white label store for a global activewear brand that supplies co-branded hats to teams.

The digital transformation journey continued as the MV Sport B2B wholesale website launched fulfilling the “login in for pricing or register” functionality as well as debuting a sales rep locator, print catalog request and viewing capabilities.

MV Sport now has a single platform to power more commerce. With Znode, MV Sport has some major game.
